Thousands of people have once again taken to the streets in Paris and other French cities to voice their demands to the authorities.
Given the scale of the protests, the authorities have deployed nearly 70,000 security personnel across the country to maintain order and ensure public safety.
Armored vehicles of the French Gendarmerie have appeared on the streets of Paris ahead of scheduled mass demonstrations.
Several armored vehicles are stationed near the Elysee Palace, where the security perimeter has been expanded beyond its usual size. Law enforcement officers have blocked access to streets adjacent to the French leader’s residence using vans and metal barriers.
A series of protests erupted in France in mid-September, with demonstrations by high school students demanding better conditions in the education sector.
They were subsequently joined by others unhappy about the rising cost of living and budget cuts.
