1 million for biggest hajj pilgrimage since pandemic, security forces in Saudi Arabia in preparation



 1. One million people, including 850,000 from abroad, are allowed at this year's Hajj   -- a key pillar of Islam that all able-bodied Muslims  are required to perform at least once -- after two years of drastically curtailed numbers due to the pandemic.

1.8 mln witness Mexico’s largest Passion of the Christ re-enactment



 The re-enactment for the Way of the Cross in the southern borough of Iztapalapa, Mexico City, was once again open for the public. On Friday vast crowds gathered to witness the event, after two years of not being able to participate due to COVID-19 restrictions, Reuters reported.
